Warwickshire County Council is inviting local organisations to help shape the future development of walking and cycling.

We would like you to identify locations where new or improved facilities are needed to make it easier and safer to travel on foot and by bicycle. This will help us to develop our Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP). We would be very grateful if your organisation could participate by:

  • Providing feedback and suggestions on the interactive map by Friday 9th July 2021
  • Promoting the map to your networks and community contacts, by sharing links on social media and including details in any local newsletters, meetings and discussions

We welcome ideas to overcome barriers to walking and cycling, and ways to make everyday journeys easier for a wide range of users, such as new crossings, wider paths or segregated cycle routes. We would also like you to tell us about pedestrian and cycle facilities which you think work well.

This information will be used to develop a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, which is part of Warwickshire County Council’s wider commitment to addressing the climate emergency, reducing the impacts of motor traffic on our towns and villages, and improving health and wellbeing.

If you would like more details about the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan please email tpu@warwickshire.gov.uk with your query and contact details and we will get in touch. (Please include ‘LCWIP’ in the email title).
